Clark House Heritage was created to preserve my family history, share family traditions, help connect us to one another and help people who are trying to do this for their own families. I hope you enjoy the information and will consider contributing to this site through sharing stories, photos, recipes, and genealogical artifacts. I began writing down ideas for my logo about midway through 2017. After scribbling out some thoughts I decided that I wanted my logo to represent my grandparents on both sides of my family tree and really focused on other ancestors and their jobs and professions. You will see my logo which was drawn by Marie Crane Wyatt represents the 4 ancestors Clark, Campbell, Bonebrake, and Kelley families. The Bonebrake family is what started me on my genealogy journey with the research of Dewalt Bonebrake, the revolutionary war patriot and his life and family. His Family founded the Bonebrake Theological Seminary in Ohio, and they were mostly ministers who lived a simple life. You can read more about the Seminary here.

We also have a very well-known veterinarian, Adam Wilson Bonebrake. And many salesmen in the Kelley / Bonebrake side of my family. My grandfather Virgil Clark worked in a meat packing company and was a butcher. I am just researching his life with my grandmother Ruby Campbell, so I hope to contribute more on the Clark side of the family. The Kelley family farmed for many years in western Indiana and my great grandfather Sylvester Bonebrake was a train engineer during WW2 and was shell shocked. I have tried to incorporate many of these facts into my logo for Clark House Heritage, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
